It’s great to see Michio Kaku give such open support to the UFO phenomenon.

The book being discussed in the interview is UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record by Leslie Kean. The book is getting a surprising amount of coverage.

Leslie Kean was even interviewed by Stephen Colbert recently on The Colbert Report. What’s especially interesting about this interview is that she mentions the 2006 Chicago O’Hare International Airport UFO sighting, which was a major event.

The interview aparently sparked quite a number of Google searches on the subject.

Of course, Kean is not the first to gather the testimonies of so many officials, and I can’t help but wonder if there is any crossover with Steven Greer’s Disclosure Project. . .

These are a pair of articles from Damn Data about an occasionally recurring phenomenon in some of the stranger UFO cases over the years, that of aliens communicating through cold, metallic voices.

Cold Mechanical Voices

Says Sarfatti, “In 1952 and 1953, when I was about 12 or 13 years old, I received a phone call…in which a mechanical sounding voice at the other end said it was a computer on board a flying saucer. They wanted to teach me something and would I be willing? This was my free choice. Would I be willing to be taught—to communicate with them? I remember a shiver going up my spine, because I said, ‘Hey, man, this is real.’ Of course, I was a kid…but I said, yes.”

According to Palmer, shortly after the success of “I Remember Lemuria,” he went to visit Shaver and his wife Dorothy in Pennsylvania, “a novel experience and an eerie one.” On his first evening there, Palmer heard Shaver’s tero for himself: a chorus of five voices, sometimes speaking at once, describing awful tortures in a cave four miles below. Palmer searched the room for recording devices and microphones without result, and soon “returned to Chicago determined the run the Shaver Mystery out of [sic] its final conclusion.”

The “Palmer” referred to in the paragraph above is Raymond Palmer, the four foot tall sci-fi publisher for whom The Atom, Ray Palmer, was named. He was a significant figure in the early UFO scene, putting out magazines on the subject from the 1930s into the 1950s.

Broadcasts from the Stars

Whether or not Paredes is really in contact with “beings from Jupiter” is debatable, but the fact that they endeavor to make contact through his radio signal – it is unclear if Prof. Cid meant a “ham radio” frequency or something else – is very interesting. In the late 1970s, Puerto Rican UFO researcher Orlando Rimax played a recording of an alleged alien transmission on his Otros Mundos broadcast, which aired every Sunday morning in the city of San Juan. The recording could have been a hoax, naturally, but the heavily distorted voice of a being calling itself “Omicron” was definitely disturbing. It had a quality often associated with recorded sounds involving hauntings and paranormal goings-on, even though the entity professed an interplanetary origin, and they always do.

It’s an interesting piece of the ever expanding puzzle.

Police Officer Sees Aliens at Crop Circle

The sergeant, who has not been named, was off-duty when he saw the figures standing in a field near Silbury Hill, and stopped his car to investigate.

However, as he approached the ‘men’ – all over 6ft tall with blond hair – he heard “the sound of static electricity” and the trio ran away ”faster than any man he had ever seen”.

The officer returned to his home in Marlborough, Wiltshire, and contacted paranormal experts and told them he had spotted a UFO.

The encounter this police officer had reminds me of something I read in a book I discovered just yesterday. The book was Yokai Attack!: The Japanese Monster Survival Guide, and the being described within it was the Japanese Kuchisake Onna.

There are two main similarities between the Kuchisake Onna and the beings described by the officer above. First, they both appear to be almost human (with the Kuchisake Onna wearing a surgical mask or scarf to cover her mouth), and the incredible speed with which they can move.

It is feared by schoolchildren as a cold-blooded predator with a mouthful of fangs and the ability to outrun a speeding motorcycle. In fact, according to one source, a whopping ninety-nine percent of Japanese children are familiar with the general story.

The connections between the Kuchisake Onna and the three entities above is of course superficial, but the presence of these supernatural speedsters in both the British Islands and Japan make me think of the ongoing discussions in the UFO spheres regarding the extraterrestrial hypothesis. . .

The Return of the Borg – Cubic UFOs

Muswell Hill’s growing reputation as “Roswell Hill” for its mysterious night-sky activity has taken another alien turn with the latest UFO sighting.

Actor Sam Lathem was so spooked by the appearance of a large cube-shaped “ship” with orange lights erratically making its way across the sky he sketched an image of the floating object.

The 44-year-old, of Ellington Road, said: “What was really peculiar was it was a cube and had orange lights coming from underneath and it was such a close-up view.

Invasion of the Jelly-Men

Four small dark-blue creatures “like protozoa” were “hopping and jumping around the saucer like globs of animated jelly”. The 4-ft-tall entities were “lead-gray” in colour and had no visible limbs. Without warning, they rushed at the Swedes and tried to herd them towards the disc.

Ryberg punched one of the gelatinous assailants but found that his arm merely sank into it up to the elbow.

At sunset on July 22, ‘Trevor’ set out to climb Wyfla Hill; a prominent local landmark. He reached the summit to find a transparent dome-shaped object, 40 feet in diameter, pulsating with bright unfamiliar colours. Inside stood two small beings resembling lumps of jelly.

A hatch opened in the dome, and one of the entities flopped out and began to undulate towards the teenager.

. . .

The teenager was so shocked by the encounter that he temporarily lost his voice and suffered from intermittent hysterical blindness. It took a bevy of doctors and psychologists months to restore his former good health.
