Woman in Tanzania Killed Over Child Ghost Slave
A mob in a Tanzanian village killed two women and burned their bodies after accusing them of using witchcraft to turn a child into a ghost.
Nhumba Nolelaga, 38, and Mwanandama Ndama, 55, were attacked and murdere at Idahina village in Shinyanga district after they were implicated in the death of a seven-year-old boy.
The Citizen newspaper said the boy, Maduhu Masunga, died after he was bitten by a black mamba while sleeping.
However, at his funeral, rumours spread that he was not dead but had turned into a ghost to work in the women’s farms.
A mob formed after it was reported that the boy was seen alive under the two women’s beds.

Medicine can also be put to more nefarious ends, as when witches use it to destroy the wealthy and politically powerful and to amass illicitly wealth and power for themselves, For example, Ihanzu witches purportedly use medicine to kill people so that they can transform them into zombies (atumbuka) who then toil at night on the witch’s plot. By killing an creating a nocturnal zombie labour force, witches misanthropically reroute others’ reproductive powers to their own illicit ends.
Loretta Lynn Calls in Expert to Deal with the Ghosts in Her Tennessee Mansion
Country legend LORETTA LYNN has called on celebrity ghost whisperer JAMES VAN PRAAGH in a bid to rid her haunted mansion of spooks.
The singer has had enough of the spirits that haunt her sprawling Tennessee home, but spirit talker Van Praagh was only able to confirm the place is riddled with ghosts – before he darted for the door.
In a chilling segment on U.S. news show The Insider, Van Praagh told Lynn he could see “blood everywhere,” adding “I think people were killed here.”
And now even Lynn is thinking about fleeing the mansion after her guest refused to spend the night – as planned.
He says, “I was going to stay the night but when they (spirits) said, ‘Get out,’ I thought, ‘I should probably get out…’ It feels like I’m in somebody’s place and they don’t want me to disrupt it.”
“I walked into the hallway and there’s no one in the basement,” he said. “There were times in the Convergence Lab that the light above me will flicker. There will be a reflection in the Mac computer that looked like someone walked behind me. And I looked behind me and no one was there.”
Nonetheless, something moved and Ost froze as she watched it move past her.
“I was hanging up door decs and there’s this pair of legs,” she said. “This pair of legs runs by. No torso. There’s just feet. I said, ‘what the (heck) was that?’”
The translucent legs ran down the hallway and disappeared. Although Ost never told Sherwood of the encounter, he would soon meet his new hall mate, too.
Even if it happened in Vegas a hundred years ago, it apparently stays here.
Janice Oberding claims the valley is crawling with formerly human residents.
“Something Really Weird is Going On Here” Says Bivalve Man
“There were piles of dirt dumped on the outside of our house, different piles each morning until it got all the way around my house,” Trotter said. “Then it started dumping piles of dirt on my truck. We got the law involved, but they said they couldn’t do anything until we had a picture of those involved. But we could not take a picture.”
He even found ghostly specter of a skeleton within the glass of his rear window of his car. Trotter said he noticed, too, that in the mornings there was some kind of liquid in their car. “We don’t know how it got there, but it had a real bad odor.”
. . .
Then there was the late evening when the two discovered a man lying on the ground.
“It was a human — a dark form, but we knew it was a man, we could see it by moonlight. I told Ann, ‘Go get the shotgun.’ When she come outside and handed me the shotgun, I went to raise the shotgun up to it and it knew that I was goin’ to shoot. It ran. It did not turn around and run, it ran backwards in the woods as fast as a dog,” he said.
This is real, Sturgis said. “I saw it.”
Of course, Trotter’s discovery of what he called “Indian, human bones” near and in his garden was unnerving.
. . .
“These people across the road told us they think something’s going on strange over here because their dogs were howlin’ for an hour. Then about 3 a.m., they howl again, it’s a different kinda howlin.’ You wouldn’t believe what’s going on back here. People around here think somethin’ weird is going on here. It ain’t us, there’s somethin’ of the paranormal going on here.”
Time Traveling Ghosts from the 1930′s. . . And Darkness in the Back Yard
The first thing they noticed was the noise coming from the basement every night.
In the wee hours of the morning, just as they switched off the late night talk shows they could hear it coming up from the duct work. It sounded like a party was taking place in the large dark cellar. They could hear people’s voices in muffled conversations and strange music playing in the background. There were also distinct sounds of ice dropping into glasses and the glasses being clinked together as if in a toast.
But whenever the husband ventured down in the basement he heard nothing, and the sounds ceased to waft up through the heating system. After this happened a few times, he made a joke that perhaps he was not invited to the party.
However, it seems that his wife was invited.
One Saturday morning while she folded the laundry fresh from the dryer she smelled cigar smoke in the air, and since nobody in the house smoke, she walked around the dark basement to see where the strong smell was coming from. As she rounded an old cement support pillar she saw the man sitting in the middle of the air. He was in his late fifties and in a dark suit.
. . .
But even more astonishing than these visual and auditory specters are the incidents that happened in the early spring of their first year at the house.
Frank and Becky had three children, a 13 year old boy, a 9 year old girl and a troublesome 5 year old boy who always got into mischief. In early April while the other children were at school, the young boy came running in the house crying. He said an evil squirrel had attacked him in the back yard and had been throwing stones at him.
The Himuro Mansion Haunting and the Origins of Fatal Frame
The most popular version of the tale states that bad karma would emerge each December (other versions simply say “toward the end of the year”) from a portal on the Mansions grounds. In order to prevent this, a maiden was chosen at birth by the master of the household and isolated from the outside world in order to prevent her from developing any ties to the outside world, which would in turn, jeopardize the effect of the ritual.
On the day of the Strangling Ritual, the maiden was bound by ropes on her ankles, wrists, and neck. The ropes were attached to teams of oxen or horses to rip her limbs from her body, quartering her. The ropes used to bind her appendages would then be soaked in her blood and laid over the gateway of the portal. They believed that this would seal off the portal for another half century until the ritual had to be repeated.
During the last recorded Strangling Ritual it is said that the maiden had fallen in love with a man who tried to save her from the ritual. This “tie” to Earth tainted her blood and spirit and ruined the ritual altogether. Upon learning of the maidens love, the master took up his sword and brutally murdered all of his family members, before finally, in fear of what would soon happen, fell upon his own blade.
This is the basis of the “haunting” of the Himuro Mansion. Local legend has it that these souls of the murdered family wander the mansion attempting to repeat the failed ritual using whomever enters the abandoned building. Blood splashes on the walls are reportedly seen, as if they were flicked from the blade of a sword that had recently sliced through flesh. Many have reported seeing spirits and apparitions dressed completely in white, rinsing cloths and preparing the grounds for the ritual.
Interest in the Himuro Mansion has peaked due to it’s inclusion into the back story of the popular game, Fatal Frame.
The Himuro Mansion is definitely something worth exploring further.
